Scenomedia gets awarded|Bronze Age Cinema in the salt mine of Hallstatt

On 25th February 2016 Scenomedia was awarded the 1st prize of Salzburger Landespreis (Award given by the provincial government) for Design, Marketing and Communication in the category point of sale for its Bronze Age cinema in the salt mine of Hallstatt.

A few years ago, archeologists of the national history museum in Vienna have discovered a wooden ladder within the salt mine of Hallstatt which is more than 3000 years old. The prehistoric discovery was disassembled, taken to laboratories for close examination and then reassembled in a newly blasted cavern in the show salt mine. In 2015 Scenomedia built a scenographic installation, in which recent archaeological insights are staged by contemporary AV Stumpfl technology.
The judge announced, that the award was given to Scenomedia due to several reasons: Because this multimedia experience is amazing the audience, because knowledge is transferred in a modern way and because it triggers a “Wow!”-effect. The astonished audience isn’t just amazed by the experience, but also takes home newly achieved information and therefore rates the Dachminen Salinen in a positive way. Visitors that haven’t come in decades are coming back, but also new visitors are attracted by the innovative design. A visual experience with unique selling point has been created.
