Media Server Systems Technician

AV Stumpfl‘s PIXERA is growing to meet demand as our media server is quickly gaining wide adoption in the US across live events, fixed installation, and virtual production markets. Users love PIXERA for its ease of use and powerful feature scope.

We are seeking an experienced video technician with a strong background in media technology to join our international team working out of the Alpharetta, GA office. This person will be responsible for complex media server hardware support, server repair and quality control, staging and installing PIXERA systems for sales demonstration, technical planning and project management for tradeshows, contribute to the PIXERA knowledge base with detailed technical documentation, and assisting with the logistics and quality control aspects of complex order fulfillment.

A typical workday may include, but not be limited to, systems testing and repair, authoring documentation, building out sales demonstrations and tradeshow booth demonstrations, quality control of demo fleet servers, helping the logistics team to accurately fulfil orders, and more.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software, hardware, and networking required
  • On-site live event/show engineering experience (2-3 years preferred)
  • Experience with media server technology and programming required (2-3 years preferred)
  • Experience building, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware
  • Experience in technology hardware support role required
  • Experience with audio, lighting, projection, LED display technology strongly preferred
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Strong commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Achieve high-level proficiency with PIXERA hardware and software
  • Attain engineering level technical command of PIXERA related hardware systems
  • Maintain demo sever fleet through high-quality QC and repair programs
  • Execute technical planning and project management for three major annual
  • tradeshows and other smaller ones
  • Configure, maintain, repair, and test PIXERA hardware
  • Assist with the quality control of order fulfillment for large complex orders
  • Provide PIXERA hardware development team with insights and feedback from the field to improve the product
  • Provide on-site support for projects and programming of shows
  • Create informative and polished how-to resources via written and video documentation
  • Keep PIXERA team members up to date with new technologies and trends
  • Select travel to customers and project sites (less than 15%)
