Biohacking
Biohacking
What is biohacking?
Biohacking is currently a somewhat overused buzzword used to sell expensive miracle cures and machines. It is actually a term coined by Dave Asprey. Asprey has an IT background and sees biohacking as doing things that are good for you. In other words, reducing stress and ensuring a good supply of nutrients and vital substances. And why? So you can be the best version of yourself: healthy, content, happy and full of energy. That's how we see it.
What a biohacker looks for:
- Lifestyle
- health
- Sleep
- Community
What does AV Stumpfl have to do with biohacking?
For us, physical and mental health is not just an empty phrase that looks good in a mission statement or an employer branding brochure, but an authentic goal of our corporate vision. We are a very tech-savvy company, so sharing biohacking impulses that are good for you fits perfectly into our mindset. These include Nutrition, Indulgence, Community, Celebrations, and other lifestyle hacks. Drinking coffee is one of them.
The Biohacking Coffee
We use coffee beans that are certified organic, gently roasted, freshly processed, and delicious. We brew the coffee in stainless steel portafilter machines to avoid the introduction of microplastics, plasticizers, etc. We use milk with beta A2 casein, which is much better tolerated. The milk also contains a relatively high amount of pentadecaenoic acid (C15:0), which is even sold as a longevity supplement in the USA, as well as MCT fats. Speaking of MCT's, we can also add MCT oil to the coffee if you wish. What's the benefit?
Quite a lot... It has a lot to do with energy - see: https://tobio.at/mct
What makes the coffee special:
- Taste
- Creaminess
- MCT oils
- Milk foam with A2 casein
The biohacking snack: Plantain Chips!
It is very important to us that our snacks are enjoyable and at the same time comply with the latest scientific findings. We avoid contaminants such as vegetable oils, toxic plant substances such as lectins, oxalates and phytates, and enjoy grass-fed ruminant meats, animal fats, dairy products without the controversial beta A1 casein, etc. This dietary philosophy has already helped an incredible number of people achieve their health goals with pleasure.

Our favorite snack is plantain chips: The plantain has a completely different texture than ordinary bananas: it has a hearty taste and is firm to the bite, which makes it a perfect substitute for potatoes. Side note: Potatoes were originally brought to Europe as poisonous ornamental plants for their beautiful flowers. The fact that they ended up being eaten has a military background... Our Plantain Chips snacks are rich in resistant starches that have a positive effect on the microbiome and blood sugar, fried in coconut oil rather than toxic vegetable oils, and salted with no anti-caking agents or release wax. How do they taste? Just try them!

Tobias Stumpfl has been researching how the human system works biochemically and what contributes to a happy, healthy life for several years now, and has uncovered some surprisingly irritating, but above all, motivating things. He writes about this regularly on his blog at https://tobio.at/blog and on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tobias-stumpfl/
