“Nothing but AV Stumpfl”: Elite Event Technology expands its AV Stumpfl Monoblox inventory
Canberra-based production company Elite Event Technology has added four AV Stumpfl Monoblox® 64 Kit (20' × 11'3") fast-fold projection screen systems to its long-standing collection of AV Stumpfl mobile projection screens.
Over many years, Elite Event Technology has built up quite a collection of AV Stumpfl mobile projection screens, supplied and supported by Show Technology, AV Stumpfl’s distribution partner in Australia. Their latest purchase is four Monoblox® 64 Kit (20' × 11'3") systems: large, portable, fast-fold projection screens for presentations, events and staging.
Darren Russell, Owner and Managing Director of EET, said the company owns a mix of AV Stumpfl screens and other fast-fold screen brands and over time, the difference has become clear.
“Only the AV Stumpfl screens have stood the test of time, whereas the other ones have required quite a bit of maintenance,” he says. “So, we drew the line in the sand a little while ago where we decided any new projection screens we buy, we’ll just buy nothing but AV Stumpfl as you can’t beat the quality.”
Engineered in Austria and available in sizes from eight feet up to 30 feet, Monoblox® owes its standing in rental and staging to being lightweight, durable and quick to assemble without tools. Its sturdy frame has no loose parts, while intuitive assembly and a compact transport size ensure fast, reliable setup. Monoblox® combines industry-leading image quality with a five-year warranty and delivers long-term value for professionals who demand the best.
For EET, the support behind the product matters just as much. “The other thing that we’ve also liked about AV Stumpfl is the service offered by Show Technology and the fact that they stock and sell a wide range of parts,” says Darren. “If something does break or someone breaks or damages something, you can get all the bits of the frames etc. as spare parts. And Show Technology have always been good at even keeping parts for legacy products, although a lot of their designs have not really changed much over the years.”
These days, EET delivers plenty of LED screens for events. Even so, Darren insists that projection is still very much alive and strong, particularly in the corporate space.
“Presentations, galas and such prefer projection because obviously a big screen and a projector is still way more cost-effective than an equivalent LED screen,” he says. “At one point, as LED screens got cheaper, I thought the tide would turn, and it turned a little bit, but projection is still alive and well. We’re still buying projectors. We’re still buying projection screens.“
