The internationally acclaimed Marburg based lighting- and video design company loop light recently purchased ten PIXERA four RS media server systems, that were specifically developed with the international rental & staging market in mind.
PIXERA four RS media servers are pre-configured to be used for particularly demanding real-time graphics applications and cross-rental scenarios. In addition to powerful processors and e.g. framelock and genlock, the AV Stumpfl systems also feature 25GbE dual network cards.
This major investment makes loop light and Faber Audiovisuals the largest European provider of PIXERA four servers.
loop light CEO Matt Finke explains his decision to invest in the Austrian family company’s award-winning servers: “PIXERA managed to become a major player in the international media server market in record time. It was also important for us to choose a platform that can support the important 25GbE standard, since we are currently in the process of adapting our complete infrastructure for media server projects accordingly.”
AV Stumpfl executive director Harry Gladow welcomes Faber Audiovisuals’ deciding to take a long-term approach with their investment: “I know that making a decision such as this doesn’t come easy and I am delighted that our platform was chosen after a period of intensive testing. It also makes me happy that the loop light team will be able to give us additional feedback for future developments, based on their many years of experience.”
In addition to being an AV equipment rental specialist, the loop light team is also available for designing and delivering complete productions and providing highly qualified personnel. The scope of the company’s services includes a vast variety of important AV-“puzzle pieces” like warping, 10bit playback, content management, as well as network and signal distribution.
“Our clearly stated aim is to be able to provide hard- and software of the highest quality and with the best performance available.”, concludes Finke.
