Gleichzeitiges Überblenden von 10 LED-Bars via DMX/Iseo

Ich habe für eine Lichtinstallation folgendes Steuerungs-Problem:

Ich möchte von ISEO an 10 LED-Bars einen Fade-Befehl über SC LAN DMX512 schicken. Das funktioniert an sich bereits wunderbar über den "SetThreeChannels"-Befehl mit definierter Überblend-Zeit. Das Problem ist jedoch, dass die LED-Bars sequentiell und nicht parallel überblendet werden, da durch das Setzen der Überblendzeit jeder Fade-Command eben jene Zeit braucht bis der nächste Fade-Command an die nächste LED-Bar geschickt wird.

Wie kann man mehrere RGB-Lichter GLEICHZEITIG über eine bestimmte Zeit faden?

Ich konnte oben beschriebenes Problem lösen, wenn auch nicht sehr elegant. Die Lösung bestand darin, dass ich die Steuerbefehle an jede einzelne LED-Bar nicht sequentiell in einem Befehl zusammenfasse, sondern jeden Befehl auf einen eigenen Knopf lege und diese dann zusammen per Makro-Befehl triggere. Dies erscheint mir zwar nicht sehr elegant, aber es funktioniert. Dennoch wäre ich froh zu wissen, wenn jemand eine elegantere Lösung kennt. Wie kann man also mehrere Befehle, die jeweils eine gewisse Abarbeitungszeit beinhalten (in diesem Fall Überblenddauer zu einer neuen Farbe), an mehrere Ziele GLEICHZEITIG schicken?

Hello,

If you have Wings Platinum, it would be easy to combine all the required DMX channels into one Universal cue on one Universal track and Timeline, create a trigger to execute the Timeline, then program ISEO to execute the trigger. Without Wings and direct from ISEO, I am not sure how except for your workaround, since I do not have the SC DMX512 to test. I have an ENTTEC Pro and both Wings and ISEO will not see it as a DMX device. Therefore I wish ISEO and Wings would in future versions cater for more DMX devices than just Stumpfl and Soundlight units.

Sounds interesting! Indeed I have a Wings Platinum Installation running and this could take off some considerable load off the touchscreen computer with Iseo, since Color Fading over long periods of time (I try to achieve fadings over 5 minutes) creates quite a burden to the controlling computer.

Would you need to have the Show control module for Wings in order to adress about 150 DMX Channels? How can can the programming be done in Wings, since my actual workaround heavily depends on variables for fades delays, start times etc.?

Yes, with over 150 DMX channels, you will need the Show Control module. Without Show Control module allows only 32 DMX channels with Advanced, Pro and Multidisplay versions. Look up the Help Files table ('versions and modules'). You also need Advance, Pro or Multidisplay version anyway for them to 'talk' to ISEO as a device.

Not sure what you mean by 'variables for fade delays, start times, etc'
You can manually trigger the delays or start times with a Trigger in Control Panel. If you want auto-start and not manual trigger, I don't think Wings can handle that on its own without the SC Master 'Special Functions' feature.

Hang on...think ISEO itself can handle variables. I'm not that familiar with ISEO in this area. Try the ISEO Help Files on variables.

Iseo is much more powerful in controlling DMX-Channels than Wings, since it allows you do complex interactions with other devices, so I believe I'll stick with Iseo
